Not stock. And Yes, I know. It can handle 6200, I just decided I don't wanna take it much farther. Not so concerned with having the contents of my engine on the roadway in front of me.

just drove my stang from NYC to NC yesterday...got it up to 130, and had plenty more pull...I imagine it would go 140. ( not trying to do it anytime soon though)......

well there was a post abnout this earlier.. i didnt read all of this.. but there is a calculator that says theoretical top speed for a gt is like 220 or something... well of course your not going to get there because of aerodynamics and such but, 4 10's decreased it to about 160.. and some people i have heard have said they have went past 150... it will make it easier to get up to your top speed... but if your going to get like 4 56 or whatever there called your top speed will only be like 120 so you can only get to that... so with 410's your safe with top speed but anything after that like 4 30's and it will actually lower it...

So without aerodynamics an issue (i.e. car on dyno) you could hit a lot higher top speed. I'd imagine it would get hot though not having air move through the front of the car.

How about crashing 2 other cars and totaling my mustang after losing control at 115 mph, spent the night in Dencer County and will never drive that fast again!

i had mine up to 8k a many times with a blower and stock internals, 6200 rpms is fine, you are fine all the way up to 6700 and then you can just float valves.

Wow, you'll never do 115 mph again? That sucks! There is a stretch of highway that my wife hates because everytime I hit it I do at least 120mph. That's like once a week.

There is a post somewhere on here: Mods for dummies, that say that 4:10 are good for autos and cars with super chargers or turbos. He said 3:73 is the best bet for a manual GT. Is this not true? I see the 4:10 recommendation come up alot.

I've read a lot of posts on the subject and it seems the general recommendations are 4:10's for automatics (for sure) and N/A cars (manual or auto), and 3:73's for boosted cars, because of the extra torque. I would imagine that 4:10's can get hard to handle with all the extra torque of a super/turbo-charged car. But to each his own. I have 4:10's in mine now, and am planning on getting a supercharger in the distant future, and I will just have to wait and see how it feels. If I feel like getting 3:73's, then I probably will at that point.

I didn't write the prayer, but I did make the picture. As for "stealing" it, It's already been copied, god knows how many times from my myspace page. LOL
