track question

I am going to run my car down pit road in the 8th at atlanta motor speedway on sept 8th and I've never ran my car before at the track, I was wondering if there was anything I needed to know to be careful for, if something might break if i wasnt careful. I know they say it can rip a rear end out, and I just had the damn thing rebuilt.

i you had oit rebuilt with good shit, you shouldnt have to worry about it break ing. try launching at low rpms to bringe with untill you get the hang of how the track feels, and then start bringing your roms up on the launch.....oh yeah and have a ball

since ive only dropped the pedal 3 times at my local dragstrip and i have an auto ( i dont have to really worry about rpm at launch - too much :wink ) i would advise, just like others have said, to just get a feel for the track. then after you are ok with the feel of the track ( try both lanes if you can ) pick a lane and stick with it as best you can. then work on the rpm range. you arent obviously going to launch at 2500-3500 rpm at first, but sooner or later, and depending on mods, you may

Well I am definately going next friday I just cleared it with my boss. Seem a little bit nervous. I got a week to practice around town, though I guess I'll never really know how it will feel till I am on the track.
