Fuel Pump Help!
Yeah my buddy has an 03 gt, he was sent a fuel pump that had the same number as the stock one except it is a gold color. I believe the stock one is silver. Or the two colors are switched I am not sure. He was told that the one sent to him is an svt focus pump. He is putting on a charger and needs to know if it is an upgraded fuel pump.

if it's a focus pump yes it's an upgrade.

You'll usually see a green colored top on the SVT focus pumps IIRC but don't take color for gospel.
EDIT: I have a spare brand new one for sale... 100 bucks shipped to the lower 48. |

Where is everyone getting these supposed SVT Focus pumps without the sender & basket since Ford does not sell them seperately? I certainly wouldn't go by the plating color of the housing as a determining factor. Especially since dropping the tank and changing the pump is not a simple hour job.

I got mine with the baskets. It's pretty easy to pull them out though. Changing it is never really fun.
