Did you get your thermostat changed out and your overheating problem remedied?

Yeah I think I got the overheating fixed, it ended up being a bad radiator cap, or overflow cap that was leaking and letting air into the system, I got a new cap and burped all the air out and it's been rinning fine for a week now. I also put in new spark plugs, NGK Iridium plugs 1 step cooler, they actually do help smooth out the idle a lot. Feels like it is running much better, and not a hint of detonation since

while we are somewhat on the subject of sparkplugs, what would be a good one to use, I've heard so many different things, I've got to do a tune up on my car this weekend I was wondering.

I went with the NGK iridium plugs that are 1 step cooler for the sole reason of using nitrous on the car. It really depends on what your plans for your car are. I you plan to use a power adder a cooler plug will help prevent detonation.
