Nitrous is on it's way!

I got my kit ordered this morning, should be here sometime next week. I feel like a little kid waiting on Christmas day Just thought I would share that. I'll keep everyone posted on how the install goes.

I ordered the cold fusion kit adjustable from 50-200hp, with a purge. I got the kit from the vendor on the board, Stripper Motorsports. great price in my opinion for an (if I wanted to) 200 hp! Just can't wait for it to get here and get installed so I can get the tune from the VMP guys! Thinking about going with a dual tune for a larger shot and race fuel

Let us know how the install goes and show pics of the install. How are you planning on doing the arming/heater/purge switch? I saw a cool setup from Steeda I believe that fits in the cup holder. I am not a fan of hacking up my console or dash. I have an NX kit that I have not installed yet. You going to start with a 75 or 100 shot? I would use extreme caution going above a 125. Good luck.

what did it end up costing you through the vendor? If you don't mind me asking.

They had a deal on here for three or more orders but I was the only one taking on it, he still sold it to me for a great price, kit plus purge valve plus shipping was $570. I think that's a great price for an available 200hp shot. I haven't decided on the mounting for the switches yet, I would like to keep them hidden, or atleast out of view. I will probably start with the 100 shot and see what the tuner says about more! Like I said I am giong for the dual tune so maybe it can handle a larger shot like 150
I didn't order the bottle heater yet, I live in Florida so I don't think I will need it for a while.

I think it's fine as long you get the car well tuned, and don't go overkill on the size of the shot.

yeah its not safe to run over a 125ish shot according to ford on a stock bottom end. And you want to use it at a higher rpm range. This is what I'm told.

That's why the kit comes with a WOT switch. Plus I've got a forged crank, I know the pistons aren't the greatest, or rods, but I hope they hold up for a while being as I am not going to use the nitrous all the time.

it should it really just wears them down over extended use. Though if you intend to keep using it, I'd say get a forged block. I've been considering getting one for my 2000. Being as I don't have a forged crank so I don't know what my stock one will hold.

Your main threat is going to be the hyperpathetic rods and pistons. The blocks can hold alot more hp. However, if you have a crappy rod come loose, it is going to make a nice hole in your block. Ask Steven (drgnracin72) about that. I would be very careful about going up past 125 shot unless you upgrade your fuel system. A good tune as you have stated is mandatory as well as colder plugs. There are a couple of guys running 150 shots on the registry. I just don't know how long you can run that kind of juice.

$570 is a good price if it came with the purge and WOT switch. I have seen a guy install his switches inside the console so it was hidden. I'll see if I can locate those pics if you are interested.

That's a nasty looking engine there! Hey orangeRcode have you found those pics of the hidden switches yet, I would like to see them for some idea of where to place them.

I ended up mowing the lawn and working on the pool last night so I didn't have time to look for them. I will try and locate them this weekend and post them.
