New Tires and Rims

alright everyone I need some advice. I've been talking with gt silver here, but I want input from everyone that can help. I am going to get new rims and tires since one of my 18s is cracked. I am wondering if I should go back down to 17s or if I should stay at 18s and what kind of tires I should get if stay with the 18s or go back to the 17s. I need a tire that can handle being driven in the rain, being as this is a daily driver, but I want it to hook up at the track. Any suggestions will help.

i say go with a 17 in wheel as its better for performance get a 10 in. in the back and 9 up front. and for a good all around tire, i say go with the nitto 555, plus they are fairly cheap!

I'd go with some Kumho Ecsta MXs all around, cheap and good, but that's just me. Now if price is no problem, just some BFG DR on the back with BFG T/A KDs on the front... Personally I'm cheap so I went with Sumitomo HTR Zs which work good enough for me.

you dont hook up on ecsta mxs huh? youd have to go with bfgs then either kd or drs, my friend loves his drs on his terminator, and my other buddy swears to kds on his gt...only problem is threadwear though, well that and you cant ever drive it in snow. but hey thats the price you got to pay.

you dont want to drive drs all the time. even they after continuos driving will get hard and then they wont hook. just go with the nitto 555 in say a 305/40 zr17 and then a 275/40 zr 17

I am trying to find a set of chrome cobra rims that are 17x9 in the front and 17x10/10.5 in the back and I cant find any relatively not $1200 I can only imagine what it would cost for a tire and wheel package. I'm not really sure I want cobra rims again, but I don't know what else would go with the saleen body kit, or if I even need to go chrome.

eh, I like the looks of the cobra and saleen wheel. I want saleen wheels bad, but they are 18s and I really want to get that lowered stance back out of the lowering springs.
