What transmission would I need to run around 400hp in a 99 gt?

i was thinking stock one can handle it to. i thought i read somewhere that someone with 500 was still on stock tranny.

but listen to hmusn, he knows a lot

85-00 have World CLass t5 i believe and 01-up have Ttc Tr-3650

im not 100% sure when the WC T5 started but i believe it was 85...someone plz correct me if im wrong.

And how does that 3650 benefit over the t-45?

It'll handle way more than it's rated at...If you can afford to mod your car enough to overpower the stock trans then you shouldn't have any problems affording an aftermarket trans...

Yea we know that..but trust me...What it's rated at and what it can "ACTUALLY" hold are two way different numbers...and 600rwhp on the stock trans is not a good idea...I'd say after 500rwhp, i'd start looking towards the aftermarket, but it all depends on how you use and abuse it..You could destroy the stock trans with a bone stock engine under the right circumstances..
