2001 Cobra

Thinking of putting on the 2.1 kenne bell supercharger, do I really need to change any of the internals or bottom end or can it handle the 9psi intercooled setup? By the time I do the install of the kenne bell I will most likely have x-pipe or h-pipe haven't really decided yet and flowmasters 40 series.

you will need to forge the bottem end if you want to turn up the boost and make more than 425-450 rwhp. you can run the sc with a bigger pulley for less boost to keep it safe on power, and you can also build a lot of safety into the tune

I don't really want big power just basic street driving down the road probably forge the bottom end and put forged internals but would it be reliable at low boost without rebuilding for day to day driving say like 5-8 psi?

oh yeah, itll be just like driving the car before hand if your just cruising, its when you dip into the throttle thatll itll start effecting accelration. these rods and pistons are fairly weak and usualy doint like going any higher than 450 rwhp, you can always run the car a little rich at 9 psi and keep it safe. i dont think youll be breaking bottem ends on that blower and psi, but a good tune is neccesary. and dont do a mail order tune, do it right and get it tuned on a dyno.

if you do forge the bottem end, it will performan and last just as long as a stocker as long as was put together correctly and takin care of
