Nitrous Question!
I am looking into putting some nitrous on my 02 gt. Its pretty much stock except for CAI and exhaust. I am thinking of a 100 shot of dry by dynotune. and a purge kit. Is there anything else i absolutely need? How does the activation work without a tps, just flip switch and it comes on ? Thanks in advance. any help on this subject is greatly appreciated.

First off you need to get a tuner or a timing adjuster so you can bump timing back a little for the 100hp shot to be safe. Next you need to get colder heat range plugs. I personaly do not run dry kits on n/a motors. With a big dry shot you will be putting more work on the injectors. If you want the best performance from your kit you will want a bottle heater. Then to be safe you will want a window switch so you don't spray too early or too late(i.e. spraying into rev limiter). Most likely they will send a micro switch to mount on the throttle linkage, this will be your WOT activation switch. If they dont send one then yes most likely it will be a push button setup. I would stronly suggest you rethink a couple things. 1. get a wet kit. 2. get a kit that comes with either a tps switch or a micro switch. 3. DEFINATLY get a tuner if you are gonna run a dry kit so you can data log and see what the motor is doing. 4. If you are not gonna bump the timing back then start at a 75 shot and make sure it will take it then work your way up. 5. Never run anything below 91 when you are going to be using the bottle.

all that is recommended, and a pressure guage to monitor bottle pressure. a purge kit will ensure that there is no air in the lines. dry kits are just as safe as wet, but i too am partial to a wet kit. if you do go with a dry, it would be a good idea to take it to a dyno and see the fuel system is keeping up. anything more than a 100 shot will need a fuel pump to be safe, and if dry maybe injectors.
