Mine has never chattered...

The clutch was in there when I bought the car...It has the stock quadrant and all that jazz in it though...

the stage 2 wont hurt you. the stage 3 was made to take so much that it dint have andy slip or the springs didnt compress to take any of the abuse. it was basicly a direct drive set up. i broke an inputshaft and twisted another. the stage 2 will hold a lot, and is made a little lighter and will absorb some impact that you put thru it. an aftermarket quad, firewall adjuster, and cable would be good but not necessary. i have my old one for sale if you want it.

Two reasons
1 the fidanza is made with better material
2 the space design will cool faster and stay cooler
But that’s what I’m going to run. If you are going to go with a spec go with the stage 2 will be good with the modes you have and you don’t have to upgrade if the stage 1 don’t hold the juice

I have always heard that the Center Force dual frictions were the best as well. Planning on buying one this winter....

NEITHER. the stage 1 is a POS, and the 2 isnt much better. ive installed both of them, and both of them have slipped. and both of the stage 2's i did chattered like crazy. the stage 2 after a 700mile break in, would not hold the power of a stock 03 cobra.

i recommend a spec stage 3. it doesnt chatter any more than the spec 2, and its also great at the track. i daily drove one for a year, and it was great. very light clutch, and released, and grabbed well. if your over 300RWHP, then i beleave the stage 3 is the way to go, and it will hold all the way up to 600+RWHP. awesome clutch.

you have issues with spec? no one else has, even installed a stage one on an 04 cobra with a few things without any problems. i ran a stage 3 and was over clutched and was breaking shit. there wont be any problems with a stage 1 in this application, and a stage 2 will take anything he throws at it. dont just jump on here and say they are a pos when it seems you are the only one that has had any problems.

ive only had problems with the stage 1, and 2. other than that, spec is by far the best clutch. in my old 657RWHP 03, spec was the only clutch i could get to hold together. it blew 2 CF DFX clutches in a row, and a ram. put a spec 3 in, and problem solved. i now run a spec stage 4 in my 04, but its not too street friendly, and grabs HARD, and chatters a good ammount.

I have the spec stage 2 and with proper break in you should be just fine. I have a little chatter but then again I've only got about 400 miles of city driving on it.

have you had more than one?

if not, how can you say that after break in he will be fine when you only have 400 miles on yours, and spec recommends 450-500
