my 40 dollor ebay cold air is working great for me and with that a pro product 75mm t body and gears i dropped 7 tenths in the 1/4

hmmm...idk about that one. ive had one before on the gt and to be honest with you it didnt do jack for the car! just my opinion. it increased my mpg about 1-2mpg though

Right after I bought my car I put a bbk on there. Then I read on hear about not using chrome & I was like duh!!!!!! So I called JLT today & the salesman said that there would be no gain in switching from BBK to JLT. I damn near wanted to buy it just because a JLT rep was so truthful about the deal most other companies would fill you with shit about how much better their product was. So even though I have BBK I have much respect for JLT

i think what he was trying to tell you since you already have a bbk (which u purchased) the jlt wouldnt benefit MUCH (2hp extra). Therefore he recommends stay with what you have unless you want that extra 2hp for whatever price they are selling them for.

i will be upgrading my intake. have the K&N right now and will be getting the JLT sometime next year. might just drive on over to the warehouse and see what they got over there.

i use a JLT RAI, because ive had the CAI, and the high boost CAI, and both ive had problems with the filter falling off in the fender, and the CAI the MAF, and the filter fell off, and caused the car to stall.

as far as power gains, i saw 27RWHP with the RAI back to back with the stock airbox, and 15RWHP over the UPR CAI. that was on my 04 when it was basically stock, and 03/04's can pick up, up to 30RWHP from a intake alone. NA 4V's i would probably say you may see 20RWHP max with the JLT over stock.

you may as well, he's in Chesapeake. plus, you'll get a "local's" discount (basically takes away the sales tax). i haven't been by since Jay expanded into the shop next door, but i saw pics over on TWR, looks really good...
