2 loud

your car will be insane loud with an o/r x & 1 chamber flows. i have an o/r x with orig. 40 flows on my car & it sounds good. on my truck i have headers & 3"pipe straight back with the one chambers & it wakes the dead. makes my neighbors

the X is louder than a H, and the X is more raspy aswell, but the X will not droan like a H will when combined with chambered mufflers.

its going to be loud though, why not put some magnaflows, or something in there? IMHO chambered mufflers sound like balls.

Pretty much. There is such a small difference in power between cat-backs you're better off going with what you think sounds the best and don't worry about which one performs better.

the smallest 40's are 2 chamber right?

i got some one chambers but they're not 40's. they're just listed as race single chamber muffler.

Oh, sorry man. Honestly i bought my header back kit off ebaymotors. $399 for x pipe and catback, a few stickers, magnets and super fantastic hat. LMFAO

If you do a search for 2000 mustang gt exhaust you will find it. Looks like there selling it for $369 now. UGH, oh well its still a good price for a header back.

eBay Motors: 99,00,01 Mustang GT PYPES SS Exhaust System w/ X-Pipe (item 260199512873 end time Jan-09-08 16:48:33 PST)

pypes site: Pypes Performance Exhaust - Home Page

Oh and i agree, you should get the exhaust that gives you the sound YOU like, Hp gains mean nothing if you but something and dont like how your car sounds when your driving it.
