Question

DIY For LongTube Headers

Is there a thread for this? I cant seem to get the search to work to find something like this. Or should I get it installed at a shop? I most likely dont have the required tools to probably do a install.

How much did some of you pay for a full system install? Headers, Mid, Exhaust?

Thanks.

all you need to do is drop the K member, then it will be easy, but time consuming. When I do mine, im doing a full write up on them.

I'll let you know in two weeks. I was a mechanic for about 3 years so I have a massive amount of tools. I will also be using pneumatics where applicable so that may change the way your install will go.

Im going to try to keep the k-member in place, using swivels, extensions and things of that sort, so I'll let you know how it ends.

My setup will consist of MAC LT's, MAC Prochamber, and MAC Catback.

I will be a poster child for MAC.

As far as cost goes. I got my Mac Lt's for about $350. I bought a can of ceramic exhaust paint for $10 and coated the headers with that when they were on the car, and after a few hours, drove the car so it baked the paint on. Then I got a catted Mac H pipe for $180. and then a Mac 3" Catback for $350. I believe. The H got installed by a mechanic because I was having my Clutch worked on and he installed it for me cause he had the old one off anyway. In the end it cost me around $1000. I installed everything aside from the H myself. Which I would have done had my old one not been spliced with cut outs and welded to the Lt's.

o ok Ill def do that then. Placing my order for the stuff tomm. Switched from pro chamber to Lethal Performance X-pipe which is suppose to be designed for the Mac long tubes. Gonna hold out on cat back money is a little tight at the moment so Im just gonna run stock exhaust till I get some extra cash.

But ya ill look up your previous posts, want to make sure I have a full understanding of everything along with tools needed as well before I start doing stuff with out thinking.
