Then u will get a pretty nice gain from the TB. But yes they are pricy. May I suggest a P&P'd stock one. It is a good gain for a lot less money.

theres alot of 99/01 guys that put a BBK, or accufab TB on, and there is really no gain in power, but you do pick up some throttle response, but they also stick alot.

if you want to spend that much $$ get a set of gears, or put it towards some weight reduction.

There is a gain if you have a CAI or Ram air to compliment it. You'd have to get it tuned in order to see real numbers though OR Get a Intake spacer. They have been proven to give torque. about 10 that is ,but also increases throttle response.(mach1registry has dyno sheets) its 100$ good money for an easy mod. The accufab on mine doesnt stick either

the accufab on my old 99 cobra stuck like crazy.

i work at a shop with a dyno dynamics dyno, and it is know to be one of the most accurate. i did 3 dyno pull's changed to the accufab, and did 3 more, after the same cool down time, and there was only about a 2-3HP gain, and 5FTlbs torque.

definently NOT worth it, gears would be a much better mod, if he doesnt already have them.

So to blame the pullies is not a logical nor reasonable explanation. thought i'd just let you know.

i agree! its not worth it but if you plan on having as much hp out of the motor by staying N/A then why not!? An aluminum D/S would be similar. I say an intake spacer and an accufab and JLT would give you the best net gains than any other combo!

I can't imagine thinking a PHP spacer will give you more gains than a twin 65mm TB will. Upgrading the TB is ALWAYS worth it. Granted you can go too big, I beileve with the bigger MAF and inlet pipe, adding the bigger TB will DEFINATLY give you NOTICEABLE gains. I have the stock intake and just doing a good P&P job on the stock one made a very nice increase.

thats what i mean! you have to have a combo set up to gain the most! if you just get one you wont feel/see much from it. i say get it with a CAI or Ram and you'll be fine. mine car runs like a champ. i need a tune though.

If you read up there he said he has both the intake and MAF already.

ohh yeah, ported intake would do SOO much more than that TB.

ported intake, and gears make a good difference on 4v NA cars.

and as far as UD pullies giving only 6RWHP, i can attest that they gave me more than that on my 99, i didnt do a before and after test, but i can tell you i sure as hell could feel a acceleration difference, and the engine also revved up, and down more freely.

i could probably get my hands on a stocker and do the p&p work on it if you want. it made a nice difference on doc's car, i highly recommend a t/b. the 4v's take to it a lot better than the 3v's, and with the c&l set up it will really compliment it.
