the round kind...

a lot of people tend to go with something between 3.73s and 4.30s it all depends on your application... you also hear about turbo'd mustangs running 3.55s ... so it just depends on what you want to do. Personally if i had an 8.8 I would be getting 3.90s

4.10's N/A
3.55-3.73 FI depending on how much power.
3.90 For a N/A daily driver on the highway.

3.73's work best for the 4.6 torque curve, with a 5 speed

I'll deal with the traffic, I could never have an auto stang - there is just something wrong about that. As for gear - 4.10 for n/a or centrifugal blower. If I did have an auto I would have 4.30.

It does depend on A LOT of factors. Tire size, power (N/A, FI, Nitrous), amount of boost, weight, power band, etc...

I say on average the best gear for N/A is 4.10, SC is 3.73, and TC is 3.55.

Again, way to many factors to make a really good determination.
