First off welcome to MM. Next, by slick do you mean nice, good looking, sexy, that kind of slick? or like slick as a whistle, nothing on them?

I Installed BBKs and have no leaks. When I went to install mine, I think it was "Sonicblue" who posted that they leak and are not good for F/I engines. I found both of those statements to be untrue for me. I have 2000 miles on them and no leaks. There are a couple of tricks in making sure they don't leak, but they are PITA to install. I installed my Supercharger quicker than those frickin' valve covers. There are three reasons they will leak if you are not careful. First you can't use OEM gaskets. They will only be leak free if you use the BBK gaskets. Second, you have got to use their bolt hole shim spacers to keep from overtightening the gasket. This is real tedious when trying to slide the valve covers into place with the limited amount of space. It is a very tight fit and you can easily knock one of the spacers out of position and into the top of the cylinder head. If one of these falls down into one of the oil drain backs, you are up shit creek without a paddle. I did knock one into the top of the cylinder head and had to remove the valve cover to fish it out. I had the valve cover installed and bolted on except for the final bolt. I was ready to set a bomb off and call my insurance company I was so pissed. And then accessing those BBK bolts to get the proper torque on the vavle covers was a whole nother frinkin' circus act. Where they really want to leak is where the timing chain cover intersects the cylinder heads as a part of the valve cover gasket mating surface. You have to put a dab of silicone on each seam (4 places), otherwise it will be born to leak. I'm sure I could do the second set install in half the time, but knowing what I know now, I would have custom colored or graphiced the originals. I tell you what though, they are a very nice looking piece once they are installed. Here's a couple of pics...
