Transmission From A 04 GTO (6 Speed)

will a trans from 04 GTO fit into my 2000 gt.i know a t56 can be put in with some modifications.just not sure exactly what kinda trans a goat has or if it is able to fit.

even though the gto has a hydraulic clutch.and the stang doesnt.

It's not going to be a direct replacement. I belive the input shaft and a few other things are different. I would think the t-56 out of the Cobras will be more suited to bolt-up to your motor.

i know it wont be a direct replacement.i was just not sure if the gto trans was a reg t56 or if it was dif for some reason

the bellhousing wont work
the gear ratios are different
but if you cna get it for cheep than go for it
