Yeah, it's sort of like Hilliary--people either love it or hate it...

It seems to be a bit too aggressive and "pure function" than many can get comfortable with. Having driven real race cars off and on over the last 45+ years I like it.

Not to HJ this thread but, I just ordered the MGW shifter this morning. It was you that convinced to buy it; lol. Now if I can only figure out a way to dup your boot. Yea, I saw your instructions, but that is Greek to me...sewing. Can't wait to get it in.
So, you sound like an oldster like me. What is your racing experience? I'm a former FIA, IMSA and SCCA National license holder.

i dont think reving it would hurt at all as long as you dont go red line with it.

I have heard that reving your engine without some sort of load on it is bad for it... accually heard it from a ford mechanic... but i do pretty often anyways, i just take it up to about 4-5, not much more...

On my bike I frequently do rev limiter burnouts, standing still and rolling and occasionally pull the clutch and hold it wide open while going under a bridge just to hear it bounce off the limiter ( 13k rpm on my 1000 and 18k on the 600). When I stand it up at any speed over 60-70 mph I usually rev it up to 10k and dump the clutch. I have had 4 ninjas and 2 gsxrs over the last ten years, put on to many miles to count and never had an internal engine problem. I know its not the same engine as our cars but I figure it should be the same principal.
