mac catback quality

SilverGT04 Regular Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 331	mac catback quality what does everone think about the qaulity of mac catback i plan on getting the ss one and i have heard that they have bad fitment and they are cheap in quality. i love the sound but i dont wanna buy something that is total crap __________________

Everything fit well when I first installed it, but bolts got loose and it started to rub (which happens with most catbacks) tightened the bolts back up and haven't had a problem since. I think the quality is excellent. __________________ 13.9@101 before some mods

the fitment issues come with the flow tubes. I was sent the wrong length flowtubes, and one of the pipes isn't exactly fitting as nice as it should be. I notice it, and it bugs me, but overall I like it.

i guess i have the same issue with mine....

i pretty much feel the same cricket feels about it.....only noticable if u know what to look for really

~C~ Enthusiast Y2K YellowJacket GT ~TBD~ Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: MD Posts: 628	i dont have any problems with my catbacks. at one point i was getting a clunk when i went over bumps and found that the shop left the connection plate cocked to one side so the axle was hitting the plate when i hit a bump. Other than that, the install was easy, ewnt on fine, fit fine, sounds great. Over time, and like 5 years worth, i noticed that the mufflers were slightly closer to the outside of the track rather than dead center, so the fit after a while seemed to be just a bit off.
