rods are a MUST. they are the weakpoint in these motors and they are limited to around 450rwhp which is pushing it.

Need to get those rods in there. The Crank, I haven't seen one bust yet. The only one I've heard of was pushing over 1,000 RWHP and it actually twisted the aluminum block it was in. I was pushing close to 450 at one point with the spray for about 1k miles and over 300 lbs of nitrous, then I went back to a 125 jet, but it never gave up on me. I would do it all over with forged internals.

yeah theres no reason not to, the crank isnt going to cost you much more and its a lot of extra insurance. you need to forge is it all

That was what I was figuring, the rods are crap. who do you guy recomend for rods. Aries is the onlyone that I could find that carried Hi compression pistions but their products are way over priced for what you are actually getting, your typical paying for the name senario. who carries the best rods and crank for the price?

you do not want to see what rods do when they break. they are usually the first to go, and can take sleeves and even the block with it. you can get higher compression pistons from any manufacture, just have to look for them. as for the crank, usually recommended after 600 with these motors. do it once, do it right, and you wont ever have to do it again.
