2000 GT Race Computer

HYP-84003 Hypertech Hyperpac Performance Computers
Performance Computer, Hyperpac, Ford, Mustang, Cobra/ GT/ Bullitt/

Im looking at buying this for my mustang, which is a 2000 GT auto, with a CAI fender K&N. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions? Im curious as if this would be my best direction to go with my 550 dollars, or if I should do a host of other mods first? I was mainly getting this for the incar dyno, rev limiter, and shift point modifer.

Thanks much

no, the hypertech tuner isnt very good, and not many tuners use the software.

SCT is the way to go, and if you want something like that, they have the LIVEWIRE. they're software is SOOOOOO mcuh better than hypertech on so many levels.

i would buy a regular old Xcal3 though, for $400 you can get it with a custom mail order tune. or you can get it for $380, and put the savings towards a custom dyno tune, or another mod.

I say SCT too. I was way impressed with mine, but would have gotten the xcal II or three instead of the livewire. I dont think i will ever use all the functions but its nice to have and looks cool on the window, makes me look a tuner with that thing up there.

Hypertec

Well it was too late by the time I read your guy's reply. I got the hyperpac today, installed it, and GOD DAMN am I impressed. Dyno from performance tying reads gains of 16 rwhp. The dyno feature on it is great, and the display and touch screen really bring things to life. The adjustable shift firmness is really felt in each shift, as well as the rev limiter.

I've never had a SCT but I love my hypertech

Thanks guy
