Effing CALIPER..... Help?


yea, i just got through replacing my brake pads and rotors and i cant seem to compress the caliper to actually fit the application.

How do i compress the caliper? It seems like a bitch to do... >_<

I never done it on a mustang before but I use one of those screw type "c" clamps

you should be able to just push them in.. you're gonna have to compress it all the way to get it to fit over the rotor.

on the front use a c clamp. on the back you have to screw the piston back in. i used a pair of needle nose pliers and had them spread out to go into the slots... its a pain but you dont have to buy the tool.....

yea i tried the c-clip...... didnt do sheit.... lol i just went to auto zone and rented the tool.... worked great.

now that i did that and got everything back on... i have to bleed the breaks.... do i have to bleed them all?

unless you broke the like (getting air in the system) you shouldn't have to bleed the brakes.
if you did you should bleed all 4

when i did mine i didnt have to bleed them and i was so surprised at how smooth they were without bleeding them. it was the first time ever for me...

i had to bleed mine,but of course i had a bad caliper an had to change it
