Srt-4

hey everyone im sure this has been discussed before but my neighbor just picked up an srt-4 and holy damn i didnt think they had that much power. So my question has anyone raced alot of them? how do they stack up to a stang? i searched alil on streetfire.net and the srt-4 won every time i think....made me wanna cry..a v8 losing to a 4banger

thye are quick from stock and ca run high 13 from the factory. they can be modded and you wouldnt even know. we have a couple at the local track going low 11 on slicks. they can be badasses but they are still a neon. thtas the only problem with them

I knew a guy had a Miata with a chevy 305 in it and he ran 11's but it's hard to get laid in a miata.... especially if your a guy...

Ran against one a month ago and I smoked him. But they are pretty damn quick. I do have a mach though, against a stock GT, they'll beat your or give you a good run for your money.

yea...there are a couple of them that are pretty much stock here at my school, they drive around campus like they are fast as hell but then i finally got all three of them on the road and walked all over them.....

yeah i looked at trading my pony in for one of those they are fast as hell. against a stock gt it comes down to whos a better driver. is does piss me off how fast one is. There are a bunch of them down where i live in the ATL

I will give them props, but they are still neons. Most of the people around here that own them are women or guys that couldn't launch it from a stop if their life depended on it. I saw a guy try to launch once and he had such bad "wheel hop" his exhaust was bouncing around so bad it was hitting his bumper.

Buy car, learn to drive it, then try and race with it.

I have only raced one and beat him by several lengths. He had only minimal bolts on done to it. They are very quick cars for the money. I question the longevity of the engine especially when they start turning up the boost........Boom!

yeah the way i see it they come with forced induction from from the factory which is a huge advantage now strap a turbo on a stang an srt-4 isnt even in the same ballpark

Yeah the SRT-4s are quick but they are still pretty limited. they have to have a huge turbo just to run with us. O and they are still driving souped up NEONs Hhahahahaha. I pick mustang over Neon anyday YEah

i agree, actually thats pretty much a fact. a turbo on a GT, not only do SRT-4's have sum shitty turbo lag like the EVO VIII, but the GT wont have it nearly as much. it'll shoot ahead then once both tubros kick in, the GT will still be pulling away..probably like 23 car lengths lol

well bone stock is nuthin to worry about why u lost. exaust and intake won that street race in the video i put. other mods will make the srt-4 look bad
