sct livewire question

im waiting for my mechanic which is a sct vender he is on vacation... im just using the pre tune right but would it make a difference if i changed the spark? i have three spark options 0-2000 2000-4000 and 4000-8000 or something like that would it hurt to mess around with those? i can change it +degrees and -degrees i dont really no much about it but i using it on my bullitt. idk if something knows where i can set them at or it all depends on how the cars running?i just want to see a bigger difference in power before i take it the mechanic if possible... thanks

yeah! Most SCT tunes are fairly conservative and can take a couple degrees, but unless its custom made for your mods, or you have a stock motor you shouldn't mess with it. You can learn more about tuning and how motors work in my information center.

I've got a question about the SCT Livewire, it says it vin locks onto a vehicle and this is the question asked on sct's site,

Q: Can your product be used on more than one vehicle?
A: Our products support many vehicles. However, only one vehicle can be tuned at a time. Our programmers vin lock to the vehicle. You can return one vehicle back to stock and then use it on another vehicle.

So does that mean that once you return your vehicle back to a stock tune, that the device will unlock itself from your vehicles vin number and then allow you to start doing tunes to a new vehicle, I'm asking because someone wants to sell me one that they used, I'd call sct myself but it's 11:04pm and I don't think anyone is there right now.

Just make sure it is unlocked before you buy it.

does unlocked mean, that the seller, before selling it, flashed his vehicle with the livewire tuner, with the stock tune last, before I buy it? Because that would then unlock the vin lock, is that right?
