Question

Twin Turbo or Supercharger?

I have a 2002 Mustang GT. I am looking for a huge modification for my car. But I did my homework on Superchargers and Twin Turbo Kits for Mustangs. Turbos sound sick on a stang and I love how a lot of people I know dont have them on their pony. Superchargers, for what I have been told, were always the way to go...for them. So I am stuck now to what I should purchase. What do you think? Twin Turbo or Supercharger???? Any good sites to get a twin turbo and how much??? What, to you, is the best way to go?

if you've got the money for turbos, they're the way to go. however, they're a lot more of an initial investment in terms of time, engineering, and money.

Also, why a twin turbo setup versus a single? Honestly, it doesn't sound like you've done the homework you claim; they're are several threads on this topic under a few different sections.

1996-2004 mustang turbo system
ST:
Hellion Power Systems - 99-04 Mustang GT

These are some of the best systems around for ST or TT. I, personally, like TT systems and will be purchasing one in the future.

there is no comparison turbo to SC, turbo is SOOOOO mcuh better hands down.

busher, i dont know if you aware or not, but you should do some research on the HP TT kit, there are a bunch of porblems with it. piping hitting stuff, turbo's seaping oil, downpipes melting power steering rack boots, and much more. i would highly advise against HP. not to mention it takes forever to get one of their kits.

the hellion is the way to go, single, or twin.

yeah, they have a bunch of problems.

now HPP, and THP are both great TT kits. HPP often gets confused with HP, and THP is fairly new, and is having some problems of their own, but its not with the kits, its with the company, lots of weird stuff been going one supposedly.

why twins? unless he's going to do major mods to the motor, its not goign to handle the power the twins are capable of. therefor if they're running real low boost with big turbo's its going to spool slow as hell.

on a stock GT motor the most you would want would be a T62. if you got the hellion T62 kit, you can upgrade to the T76, or the T88 later, when you get a engine that can handle it. the T62 would also have no problem making 18PSI which on a built motor would be about 700RWHP +/-. and will still spool fast at around 9PSI making easily 450RWHP and being easy on the motor.

its not jsut my opinion, its fact. if you do a search on modfords, or SVTP you will see all the problems with the HP kits. there are some people that have had success with them, but there are lots fo problems.

and im sorry, but its just wrong having a chick with a belly in your sig acting like shes hot.

Hey guys. I have an HP twin turbo kit on my mach and yes I have drain back issues. The problem is the left side turbo sits too low and the oil doesnt drain back into oil pan properly. It just sits in the turbo and finally seeps through the seals into the exhaust section which in turn, turns it into smoke. It's kind of annoying to pay all this money for my car to smoke out the back. Kinda like a smoke screen effect. I know theres a fix to it, but I just havent had time to fix it, due to me being in Iraq. I know I'll need the oil restrictors to the inlet and a scavenging pump to help pump the old oil back into the pan. I should have done more research. If I did, I would have went with HPP's kit or maybe THP. HP isnt a bad kit besides the drainback problem.
