Shift Light Signal Hookup??

Okay guys I just purchased the Auto Meter DPSS Gauge (Digital Tach + Shift Light, etc.) and I do not know where to hook up the signal wire to get the RPM reading. Does anyone know?? It says connect to the negative terminal of a standard ignition coil, or "Tach Output" terminal on the Electronic Ignition Module (Which I don't have). I have a Haynes manual but I couldn't pin point a spot to tap into. Help me out guys!

Yeah I know that but 99+ 4.6L have the coil on plug design. All of them have a red wire and a second wire that varies in color from coil to coil. Has anyone done these on a Mustang?

U have to get a tach adapter. If it were in a 96-98 i could tell you the wire that goes to the tach in the dash.
