My wife bought me a set of exhaust cutouts for Christmas that are installed right after the headers and those little suckers make the car loud as all get out. I'm sure that full length pipes wouldn't make much differance. When I say loud I'm talkin rumble the ground loud!

+1 having the cross over allows the pressure to be equalized between the two exhaust pipes since they will not always be the same all the time, which will result in a better sound, IMO, and more power.

If you want all out loud w/o sacraficing too much power, just add some cutouts after the X or H in the midpipe, it'll sound better than open headers and you wont lose so much backpressure, but u will lose some.

IMO though, stangs sound like shit w/o mufflers.
