I personally would run an AR103(one step colder) or AR104(I have to double check that they would fit a 4v). Although they don't last as long as a platinum, copper is far superior when it comes to performance applications.

when you say performance applications you mean those either with force induction or major bolt ons like high profile cams heads etc etc. i dont have and dont plan on going that route for a minute. i took the 2x platinum just based on longevity. i was more concerned about efficiency, durability and performance.<---i dont expect a fraction of hp with them but would like to know if theyre recommended on this motor, smooth idle etc etc

When I was running my 2v I used a set of AR103. They smoothed out the idle and throughout the whole rpm range. IMO it ran alot better but they don't last near as long.

I would not run Bosch saprk plugs in my freakin lawn mower. JUNK!!

If you want a good plug stick with Motorcraft/Autolite, NGK makes great plugs and so does DENSO.

Champion FTW, I run 'em in everything I own.

You don't need double-platinum plugs in a new-edge 'Stang, the COP ignition system has a conventional negative polarity (center to side electrode) spark--double platinum plugs are only needed for wasted spark systems where the "other" plug fires with "positive" polarity.

FWIW--Many OEM plugs for wasted spark systems were built in negative and positive firing versions, with precious metal electrodes on either the center or side electrode depending on what hole they went in to--probably save $0.10 a plug on the assembly line...
