Best $200 ive ever spent
Yeap you heard right. my mgw shifter was waiting on me when i got home from work, took me 47 minutes to install it. thats including finding sockets down to twisting on the shift knob at the end.
took her for a spin after completion. drove it easy for a few miles kept stoping and taking off so i could go through each gear and make sure everything felt good which it did. the manual reccomended that i didnt use the shift stops with my 3650 tranny ( also says not for use on t56) since they both come with internal shift stops and installing the external can cause damage to the tranny if not done exactly right. but it all works just fine so im glad. i tromped on it a few times just to see. and MAN O MAN. what a difference. i cant beleive the difference. there is no way in hell that im missing third gear now bitches! the gears are like one inch apart from first to second. and going into third and fifth is so amazingly simple. no reach at alll just a simple nudge. IF ANYONE is thinking about getting a shifter, ever had problems shifting into third, or are tired of reaching for fifth and juggling around to hit reverse... get a MGW shifter. you will not regret it. and the install is as simple as reading instructions. the corner desk i bought for my bedroom was harder to put together then this thing here was to install. and took less time on the shifter hahahaha. coming from someone that had never even seen a shifter with the shift boot off .. i installed this thing in 47 minutes and it also got dark on me. im tellin ya if any of you are thinkin about a shifter worried about the install price.. wow just do it yourself. for free. dont second guess yourself. the most ive ever done is change oil, gear install, alternator, belts, etc.. i was all worried about needing help on this deal and ... well ive explained enough bout it ill stop preeching... p.s. third gear is my BITCH

awh its perfect.. and i moved it to where its closer to my leg a tad also.. its PERFECTLY in range... i love this thing.. i think it can also extend outward about a inch but i didnt fool with that part of it i know u can put the shift handle up or down about an inch. slide it forward an inch or so. and u can move the handle to the left or right as far as u want.

hmm I installed the shift stops on mine but I left a slight gap, I noticed a while back when I slammed into third the car vibrated, and now out high rpm's the car sort of vibrates no too too bad but its their think that could be something wrong with the tranny?
