well good luck with buying wrecked cars, i personally never will because i know how weak the construction of these cars are, and how easy they get screwed up, and how hard they are to get back close to right.

when you wreck a mustang, you buy another.

just liek my friends 06 F250 lariat 4WD powerstroke. he was sitting at a light, and got rear ended by a limo that was going 75MPH limo only caught the hitch broke the hitch in haflt, the bigass one with the equalizer bars, you couldnt tell that it has been hit except for the frame was buckled right above the rear tires, you could see it through the wheel well.

ford put a whole new frame under it, and it had a vibration. ended up balancing, replacing the wheels/tires about 5 times, then replaced the rear axle, then the driveshaft, then the tranny, and it was still never fixed.

my grandma wrecked her 06 escalade fell asleep at the wheel went into a ditch, ripped the front suspension out, and did a number on the truck. $30K of work, and never went down the road strait. kept going back tot he shop, and eventually the insurance company bought her a new 07 to replace it.

wrecked cars typically dont drive right again. ive been in probably 50 cars that have been wrecked and repaired, and none of them drove right, whether it was a minor problem, or major, it jsut wasnt liek new again.

wrecked cars


well since i didnt have money at the time i took a once wrecked v6 stang, alot better then the sundance i was driving at the time, but im not saying buy wrekced cars over new ones, id rather spend more and get a new one to, but if he really wants that car and cant afford a new one im just letting him know its not bad once there fixed, but next time it gets hit, it will be all that much worse,you usally dont save all that much money after fixing it up anyway, but seems like you getting a attitude with me for no apparent reason there pal

im not getting an attitude, im just making a point form my experience from working on cars, that they're not the same after they're wrecked.

and surely if somebody has $10-15K to spend on a totalled 03 cobra, instead of spending all the $$ to have it fixed and it never be right, they can pick up a 99V6 for a grand or so, and swap everything other. then have V6 insurance, keep the V6 rear bumper, and badging, and people would think you have a V6, but you could have a stock 355-395RWHP cobra drivetrain, or 450RWHP with a upper pulley, or 650RWHP with a blower swap. and it looks liek you have a 150HP V6. ultimate sleeper if you ask me.

people will pull up beside a mustang they think is a V6 that sounds a little wicked and mess with it, i cant get anybody that will pull up beside me. people pull up beside me and just drool, or give the thumbs up. even 600CC bikes know not to screw with me. every now and then one will. and every now and then i get a slobalt SS that thinks he has something, and doesnt know whats up, but other than that, the cobra scares most everybody off.

a V6 lookign car... well it would be fun. almost tempted to buy a V6 front and rear bumper just to slap on from time to time and go roam the streets

v6


yea my v6 moves for a v6 but nothing like if it had a 03C motor in it, i wanted to buy a 03/04 cobra before i got my mach, not gonna lie still do, just drawn to them, but whatever, maybe one day im not one to trade in cars when i buy them thu, i hated even letting the dealer move my car in his lot later that night once i bought it, before i picked it up the next day

congrats on having a whipple and all that stuff on you cobra thu, sounds damn nice, like that you went with a whipple, ive always liked them so many people go with kenne bells anymore, id race you if i ever pulled up next to you, id lose but whatever id give it a shot, maybe one day when my machs blown and worked

there are alot more whipple's on 03/04's than there are KB's. but not really many people really do anything with them, jsut drive them aroudn town, and get in a race every now and then. im going to finish getting my suspension and all setup, and hopefully set the fastest time for 2.3L whipple with hopefully a high 9 sec pass without juice. will take more weight reduction, and some down fine shift work to accomplish, but its my goal.

my first 03/04 i put a KB 2.2 on, it made good power, and DAMN did it scream, but i jsut like the look of the whipple more. the KB's seem to make better numbers though that the 2.3 whipple. i made 657RWHP pump gas blower only with my KB. that was stock motor, stage 1 crower cams (they were given to me) and then supporting mods, and that was it.

before too long ill be turbo though. was hoping to do it soon, but its looking liek next winter. so this summer ill get my built 5.0L stroker with ported revised 05 heads, and cams, and be ready to drop in next winter.
