high miles on these cars are nothing to fear. there are ones that are over 100K and have had KB's and whipples on them for a long time, and show no signs of problems.

and that one looks like its been taken very good care of.

front end, or rear end crash that totals it. they will sell anywhere from 10-15K for a wrecked one. if sold seperatly engine with sell for almost 10K, tranny, and all 2500, IRS 1000 depending if airbags deployed theres another $2K, $1k for seats. and then probably another $2-3K for other misc stuff.

thats why they sell wrecked for that price. theres alot of parts that people will pay big $$ for.

msot people that buy a totalled termy dont buy it to fix, a car is never right after a crash, they buy it, and swap all the stuff over to a V6, or GT. and have terminator performance with V6 insurance.

wreckage

not true, my 94 v6 was totalled and my stepdad fixed it a long time ago, my brother drove it bet the fuck out of it, now i drive it and it has 215,000 on it and ive only had to replace a waterpump and some starters, and other little stuff like plugs etc etc of course, and it does just fine, my stepdad has bough alomost 8 wrecked cars now and has fixed them, all of which do fine and really have no problems away from ordinary stuff, and no one ive ever met has even had the slightest clue my 94 was wrecked, its all in peoples minds, wrecked cars a fine to fix up but are a pain in the ass to get back on the road due to alot of b.s. laws there starting to pass, is it worth buying and fixing, prob not anymore, id never want a new car just to have to work on it, kinda bets the purpose, thats one of the joys of a new car only having to work on it when its performance mods, but its your call ive had nothing but good experiences fixing and driving wrecked cars

well considering a 94 V6 is pretty much a $1000 car and typically a 40% loss totals a car, that means if you cracked the front bumper cover, and had to get a new one, and have it painted that would total it.

and anybody who would drop more than $1k into fixing a wrecked 6 needs to think a little.

with the unibody construction of the fox chasis 79-04 mustangs it doesnt take much to total one, and they never go down the road right again, ive driven several that have been fixed.

wreck

it was almost brand new when my stepdad bought it, and it was a cali car that was still in cali at the time, it was hit pretty damn bad man, quarter panel was messed up, rear bumper was done, rim was bent, and i dont know how bad everything else was i was to young but i saw pictures of it before it was fixed, and it was a mess, but he also fixed a 88 porshe 928S that was hit pretty hard and no problems but a fuel pump with that, and his dodge, and his firebird, non of which have any real problems, oh and his 00 GT which i rememeber fine because i helped put the motor and trans back in, that needed a hood, fender, bumper and needed to be stragtened and pulled out, and his prowler which needed a crap load of work, all are fine to this day

seems to go down the road fine to meet, goes down the road straight as an arrow, and the car has had probally almost 200,000 miles put on it since then, i mean ive replaced stuff on it that ive wanted to, like stage 3 clutch, ported heads, cam, proted intake manifolds, full exhaust, springs,shocks,8.8 rear, and a bunch of other stuff but thats it, not meaning to get into an argument, but ive had alot of experience with totalled and fixed cars and have no real negetives with them
