Need Help With My Brakes
i lost my caliper on the the highway cuz the 2 bolts fell off. now i got the bots and installed new line on the caliper that fell off (caliper was in good condition) and everything is installed and i go to bleed the brakes in the proper order and ive done it twice and nothing. i get no brake pressure. also all 4 brakes pads are engaged and when i put in 1st and and give some gas (car is on blocks) i hear screatching in the rear cuz the brakes are engaged (parking brake off). what have i done wrong?
come on i need my stanger for school!

brakes
maybe got a bunch of air in the abs, not sure really what else to say, if you got air in the abs, you need to take it somewhere to get bleed you prob dont have the available tools for that, but how the hell did it fall off, those bolts shouldnt have just fallen out thats not usual at all

sounds like a bunch of air in the lines, bleed the master cyllinder and keep checking the brake fluid while your bleeding them. you know the order, and you need another set of hands to do it right.

Sounds like the master cyl is screwed.... when you push the pedal to the floor like what prolly happened when you went to stop it rips the seals in it.

agreed, when you get air in your master cylinder is destroys the cup seals in there so they stay engaged halfway or whatever they got stuck at. Being that the mustang is a front rear split system. I'd have to agree with C. New master cylinder time

yeah a master cyl more than likely...... have someone push the brake pedal and loosen the line that runs the front brakes.... see if you have pressure. If not try to find a friend that can vacuum bleed them.

when i bleed them i get nice clear stream coming out all 4 lines. my buddy pumps 5 times when the line is disconnected. then on the 5th he leaves it engaged and i screw it back on. we go from RR, LR, RF, LF.

you are doing it correctly but I am willing to bet the master cyl is bleeding off the pressure...

Did you bleed the master cylinder? There should be 2 places that need bleeding on it I think. I had no pressure at all in my brakes until I did that.

STOP!!!! DON'T BUY ANYTHING!!!!!! if your car is on blocks and you have traction control the ABS will engage because the front wheels arent moving therefore the PCM thinks the rear wheels are breaking traction. Try testing the breaks while driving if its possible.
I had a brainfart last night sorrybout the possible misinformation.
