JLT CAI Installed.
I recieved my JLT intake yesterday and immediately began to install it. The project was very simple, a toddler could do it, I had it on in a little less than an hour. I dont really notice too much of a difference besides gas mileage, My old filter was completely filthy. It seems to pull a little bit harder in the higher RPM's, but not really noticeable.
I give the product an 8 out of 10. Mainly because Im going to have to pull it back out to re-seal the MAF. It says you do not need a gasket but you definatley do. Silicon will work, I just didn't have any where I was. Finished product looks good. |

theres no reason to seal the MAF. the way the engine sucks the air in it wouldnt make a difference, there wont hardly be any un metered air get in there.
dont you love how you jsut give it a little bit of throttle, and you hear a sort of sucking sound? i love it. JLT > everything else

But I should ask what exactly are you trying to seal? You shouldn't have any leaks.

Im talking about where the MAF connects to the adapter plate. It's not a small gap, I can see through it. Probably 1/32" gap.
