Eibach Pro Kit

Ok, I know that everyone asks questions about this kit but I cont seem to find any good info. If you have any pics of your car dropped with the Pro Kit from Eibach please post. I herd that they sag in the rear sometimes. Is this true? What are my other options for lowering springs? I want to lower my car I dont want to have to replace my stock shocks and struts or get an alignment. Thanks.

There is nothing wrong with the eibach prokit. It's one of the best on the market. For a GT hard top it gives 1.5" drop all the way around.

yeah its definately a good kit. i have it on mine and i would recommend it for sure, gives you a decent drop and you dont really need to get cc plates. and the handling quality is a huge difference as well.

I have the pro kit on my car. I personally love them. They ride as good or better than stock springs. The only down side to them is I wish the car was lower. I recently added a k-member to the car and it dropped the car about .5 of an inch in the front. I can only fit 1 and a half fingers in the wheel well in the front now. which made me happy, but now i need caster caimber plates. The back is still a little too high for my liking, but not bad.

you dont need a spring compressor. just put a jack under the a arm and slowly let it down so it doesnt fly across the room. its easy. I had to rent a spring compressor when i put the k-member in because i didnt get aftermarket a arms. if you do what i did you have to grind away the stock arm so it doesnt hit. well i didnt grind enough so now it doesnt go down all the way. spring compressors are a pain in the a$$

Yea thats why I didnt want to use them. Everyone seems to have had trouble with using them and I wanted a quick easy install.

How long did it take you guys to install?

depending on the tools you have.(air tools) should only take an hour or two. I have had to take them off several times so I am okay at doing them now. I had to take them off for the original lowering spring install then again for a gear install and the last time for the k-member. It gets easier every time. The hardest part for me was breaking bolts i dont have any power tools.

oh by the way one more thing about spring compressors is that if you rent them from an auto parts store I think they are made for stock size springs. it was hard for me to get the compressor on the spring because they are shorter and the coils are tighter. the compressor is quite large and would hit the wheel well if you didnt have them exactly on right. I had to hammer out the clamp of the compressor after i had the spring on the car because the lowering springs are tighter. just take my advice avoid spring compressors.

^^ +1 i did my springs myself and you dont need a spring compressor, its not too bad you might have to pry the springs a little bit when the a-arm is all the way down because they tend to get stuck.

I got them, I just need some time to install them but thank you guys for the input. Did any of you put in the pinion snubber when you installed the springs. What are the effects if I don't because I have never seen the pinion snubber before so I dont know were it is supposed to go. Thanks
