clutch problem?

ive been hearing something wine every time i put in the clutch lately and figured something was starting to go. i recently let my mechanic which is a sct dealer order a e-mail tune and did adjustments and it made quite a difference. so today hit it in 2nd and shifted to 3rd and noticed right away that i basically had no clutch to press down on, like it had no spring to it. lucky this happened right when i turned onto my street and was able to get it into 3rd gear and get it into my drive way but not into the garage. im not sure what happened im assuming maybe the pressure plate?(i think the added hp and torque was too much for it) any ideas? thanks

Could have smoked the clutch, did you check the clutch cable? Does the pedal feel stiff and you just have no clutch? or does the pedal just drop to the floor with no resistence? Could be a couple of things.

My car has been making a squeaky noise every time I push in the clutch pedal. Like a rusty spring would do or something. I'm gunna get it checked out, hopefully its just a cable or plate,

well a common indicator of a bad throw out bearing is that sqeauking noise when the clutch is pressed. Ill have to agree with chronic on this one

It just started squeakin today, It doesnt do it everytime i press the clutch, but it does sometimes. Is it safe to drive it with a bad tob for about a week untill I can pay to get it fixed. And how much would the fix be

if it only does it every once in a while i wouldnt about it yet. couldbe somhting else or in your head. Id wait till it becomes a constant thing.

and yes a tob is normally included with a clutch kit. Spec from AM has everything youd need in the stage 1 kit

not nessacarily with the flywheel.

If you have common knowledge of that kinda thing, putting clutches in arent that bad. may take a little while, but its nothing extremely hard if you have the right stuff.

I dunno. Im a cheap bastard. I do everything myself unless it requires a professional

I do that shit myself, Ty, so I dunno. But I wouldn't think it should cost more than a couple hundred bucks for the install.
