that kit is a POS first off, and second is very missleading. with that crappy diablo canned tune you would be lucky to hit 440RWHP.

SLP

i talked to my friend today about the SLP kit and he does remember reading somewhere that a magazine did indepently test that and it didnt dyno for nearly as much as they say it does, but MMFF did a test on a 03 cobra awhile back i beleive they did intake,TB,pulley, full exhaust, and a tune and said they made like 500 or so

was this the same friend with a 800HP NA 355?

if that kit did make 575BHP that would mean it would have to law down 488RWHP. which is very likely not going to happen with a upper pulley only car. headers dont do that much for them until you get a twin screw. it can take incredible times off your trap speed with a set of headers, and it feels alot faster, but the dyno says differently.

that kit comes with a 2.93 pulley if i remember correctly, and that is 10-12PSI, and it also comes with a crappy intake kit, and a canned tune. like i said, that canned tune you would probably ne lucky to see 430RWHP. with a custom dyno tune, maybe 450RWHP. but a 2.93 pulley cobra is not going to make anywhere near 490RWHP, unless it has a stage 4 ported blower too.

look at my reply #4, that sums it up. take that, and add $2000 to it, and then another $1000 almost for clutch, flywheel, 26 spline input shaft.

hey man im just telling you what i was told no need to be a wise ass, i could give a s** less what you think, i mean you said that he got ripped off for 30K on his motor, funny because you abviosually dont know how fully custom race parts cost nor what a motor is fully capable of doing life doesnt end after stuff you order, can you honestly tell me why you dont beleive you can get 800 horse out of a NA 350 what limits the motor to numbers less to that, and if you honeslty believe you could only spend 12K on a full race 350, considering a full blown race crank is 2K alone, i agree that what was said about swapping out the carb for that much horse is b.s. but untill you build and race cars fully for a living dont go around saying stuff cant be done, obvisally the guys that built it know what there doing since there fully sponsered and race all the time, thats where i get 0 weight oil from when i need it

nobody would put that mcuh $$ into a 355 anyways, unless it was a nascar engine, and its also BS.

jsut read the thread on SVTP, your full of SHIT. your a 18 y/o that has no clue what he's talking about.

355

obvisally you dont know the speedboys, it was a motor out of there old race car, and they just wanted to see how much farther they could take, they have an obsession with this stuff, ive seen there work and there absolutely amazing, i know quite a bit of people that go there and get there stuff done because there amazing at what they do, a 355 can be pushed extremely far just like any motor if your willing to put the time and money into it, its not the cheapest way to go but whatever,so give me a reason why a 355 cant push those numbers, let alone a big block like you say cant push 800 horses naturally aspirated lol those are easy numbers for a big block,

then your claim of 1100HP with jsut a carb swap is even more BS.

there were so many points in your little story that added, and added to the BS, when i was done reading i was in a lifevest, and blowing up a inflatable boat the BS was getting so deep.

I'm gonna have to side with Mustang RacR94 when it comes to the topic of making 800hp on a 355. My dad races super late models and hes pushin just over 500hp with a 351, and thats with tons of rule based restrictions and a smaller carb. With enough money those numbers are realistically obtainable, it just takes an immense amount of money, and bigger displacement obviously helps out quite a bit in terms of N/A power.

i keep making excuses huh?

like i said before, and ill say it again. ill hook my truck and trailer up, and drive up to PA, and ill pay for dyno runs. if it makes 800, ill shut up, if it doesnt, the car comes home with me.

or your mach 1 can, whichever works for me.

first of all theres no chance in hell you take my mach lol, and i know how this is going to sound, but the motor is apart right now for whatever reason, but when its back together feel more then obliged to ask the owner to take it to a dyno, its been there plenty of times before

good, then get a dyno sheet, and/or vid, and mod list to prove it. until then your claims are 100% BS.

and if you were so certain i dont think you would have a problem laying your mach down on the line.

yeah, and i also have a B16 VTEC motor thats apart right now, and it will make 900WHP NA

whatever you say pal, ill ask for a full list of whats done to it, but maybe when the motors back together they might dyno it again, but honestly dont be a wise ass, if i get a chance to put up a mod list or dyno video i will, and dont be a complete dick about every post a make, and dont bother posting anything else about this argument because im not gonna bother checking this thread again, ive already wasted my time aruging about something i have no real why of proving at this time, but if you really wanna make a bet, and drive all the way up here trailer up the cobra because if it makes 800 horse its not going anywhere, and as for the mach even if youd take it youd still have to pay for it since im making payments on it anyway, and i wont pay for a car i dont have so besides that, thats about it
