crank shaft end play


i have a 4.6 motor out of a 1991 crown vic and the crank slides back and forth about 1/4" dose any one know the spec on the end play for the 4.6 engine

dont know the specs, but i can tell you thats most likely out of spec, 1/4" is alot of play.
