the windsor heads have 13 bolts on the valve cover. Romeos have 11...
give me a minute to consult the good book about interchangeability

The heads can be interchanged with any 4.6/5.4. The head bolt configurations are the same.

direct interchangeability is limited by the # of valves. obviously a 4v head won't bolt right up to a 2v motor...

timing chains will need to be mounted different, but a 3V head will bolt right up to a 2V block

Ya I found out that i would have to get adj timing gears but thats no big deal and i have acces to the fuel rail and a complete intake from an 05 mustang. but other than that i still dont know what all i would need.
I would be buying the 3v heads new or off e-bay if i could find a good deal when i had the money for them.
