ok i just dropped a new motor in my gt and now about 1000 miles later it started ticking from where the fly wheel and the torque converter hook up. i mean loud as hell but its not from the motor or the tranny...so does any1 know if the torque converter can tick loud as hell. any ideas guys? thanks

Take the inspection cover off, and double check the flywheel bolts.

ticking

when the exhaust was put back on, was everything put together right, sounds like an exhaust leak, but if it started happening after 1000 miles, sounds like it could be from where the mid pipe meets up with the header, i do beleive theres a gasket that goes there, and if someone put it on wrong or reused the old one it couldve blown out and that would cause a very loud ticking, besides that i cant really think of anything else

Sounds like a bolt backed off and was hitting the bellhousing or something. Is the converter fubarred?

If you need one, you can check these places:

Performance Automatic

try here too

if your going for straight line performance you should get a higher stall speed. contact a company like pa and they can reccomend a speed for ya. also if your gonna use n2o you might wanna get one with ballon plates.

et = elapsed time. your time across the track

you wont idle higher just when you leave a stoplight or whatever your car will rev a lil higher before it gets goin.

whaatt
r u sure i thought it only stalled at a higher rpm when pressing the brake n gas at the same time(before the tires start spinning)

cuz if it revs higher at a stop to get going wont that make it shoot out everytime? even if youre not trying to... that would suck
