New Wheels & Tire Setup...

I have a 04 Black GT vert. I'm getting American Racing Black Rebels 17x9. I need to know what are my best option for tire size. I'm also getting 1/4 spacers and H&R SS springs. I'm still unsure if I should go with with 17's or 18's. please let me know tire sizes.
Any information is appreciated.
Thanks guys/girls
17= 17x9
18= front 18x9 rear 18x10

Please help me

for a 9 inch Wheel I would run 275/40/17's in the rear and 255's in the front/

What if I went with 18's? Should I stick with 17's for performance or does it really matter?
And, thanks for such a quick reply!

I would run a smaller sidewall (the middle number) if you went to 18's.

17's would be better for performance.
18's is better for the looks department.

if you are planning on using 17 inch wheels I would go with
255/40/17's for the 2 front tires and 275/40 17's for the 2 rear tires.

18's are too expensive for tires. They do fill the fenders very nicely. Go 17's with 275x40 or 35 all around.

What are your goals here in new wheels/tires? Do you want to launch the 1/4? Just DD with some nice looking wheels/tires? Twisties

I think 18"s are the way to go and give you many more options on tires, although will generally be more expensive. A 275 will fit a 9" no prob and run them on my Winter wheels, but do think a 255~265 is a better fit performance wise for corners and such. The 275 offers a little better curb protection as well as fills the wheel-well a little better. If you want a meaty look, go 9"s & 10.5"s with 35 series tires and will fill the wells up quite well and corner nicely. Lower profile will tend to ride a little rougher though, so keep that in mind.

.....and welcome to the forums

EDIT: Why are you going with spacers? I have no probs with them, as I run 1/2" ones on the rear myself. I would recommend if you decide to go wider than 1/4", you should replace your lug-bolts with longer/stronger set for safety.
