Agreed... I usually say it's neither an X nor an H pipe, but you described it pretty well. I have MAC LT's, a MAC Prochamber, and flowmasters on my car. Watch my vid to see how it sounds.

Still have yet to see any proof that the prochamber out flows an X pipe, only opinions. They do sound good though.

I will agree that the prochamber is better than X or H-pipes, but that article is crap. They kept the stock mufflers when they put on the h-pipe....but changed the mufflers when they put on the prochamber? How does that work to compare h-pipe VS prochamber performance?

agreed, plus I think they should've put it on a dyno. The faster numbers could be due to better track conditions or just a better run by the driver...

I said better than the X pipe, not the H. The X pipe already out flows the H pipe. I know Mac says that the prochamber out flows the X pipe, but it's their product. I'd like to see a third party compare the two. Anyone have a link to something like that?

My mods

The cat-back difference could be the HP difference. So the prochamber makes about the same HP as an X, but makes more TQ.

I can't argue that! I never thought the X would make more torque.
edit: except for the last thing you wrote. I dubt the catback had that much of an effect.

prochamber

well, as for it being the highest flowing mid pipe on the market is false, the hooker x pipe out flowed it and showed bigger gains when tested independtly, but as for sound its the best sounding out there IMO and prob the 2nd best mid pipe, the prochamber is hard to explain and have it make sense, def buy one thu, there amazing

Yeah on second thought you are right. The flowmaster exhaust aren't know to flow well.

flowmaster

never liked a actuall flowmaste catback, if your gonna go flowmaster, just buy the flowtubes, and exits seperatly, and buy some original 40s or super 44s, to each his own thu
