Mass Airflow Sensor

I have a BBK cold air intake on my 02 GT with the stock mass airflow sensor, is the intake even doing anything with the sensor stock?

The stock mass air meter is a restriction with the screen in it, though it's not designed to work very well with the screen removed. There is performance to be gained by switching to an aftermarket unit, though it's not huge (maybe 5 - 10hp). I'd save that for one of your final mods.

You can get a larger MAF that is also calibrated to larger injectors. Pro-M and C&L are two examples of companies that sell them. I would not worry about buying one on a mostly stock engine.
