NA teksid 2v Build

Ok so earlier in the week i posted about the teksid block i found. Next question is...should i go for high rev or torque..should i keep the same displacement or should i stroke or bore it? If I were going for a high rpm motor...what would i need to do to get some good rpm's out of it? Heres my plan so far...im gonna need some guidance because ive never done a build myself so everyones input is greatly appreciated. Im gonna start by machining the teksid block. Next I want to find a used cobra forged crank and get it knife edged and balanced. From there I want to find the lightest rods and lightest pistons while still maintaining durability im gonna be doing research along the way. I'm also going to use all arp hardware. After that I will be focusing on getting some good flowing 2v heads with bigger valves and some aggresive cams ill top it all off with a high flow intake manifold. Let me know what you guys think. What rods and pistons have you used? What intake, which heads.. whatever you guys can share would be great i like to read.

i dont know about that block? i thinks its the alum one right?

i just seen the new 5.0 mod block in the 5.0 mag im getting one for a spare short block im going to stroke it, might as well you need a rotating assy anyway. biggers better ask any woman.

im only taking mine up to 6500 rpms , but hell i should have gottin the 2.8 k/b now.

you got a 2v so i would stroke it. if not going to use a power adder than i would get the compression up go 10.1 or 10.5 and get cams to benifit from all of it . go for hp not tq. and get good flowing heads pi's ported.

you can go with aluminum rods but i doubt you wanna pay the price for those things, i think you will be happy enough just to stroke it and bump the compression up to 11.1. And get some MPH stage 3 race heads and some of MPH's custom cams. Sadly enough the stock intake pretty much flows as good as any aftermarket. Most people lose power with aftermarket intakes, but a hardballer intake would do you pretty good cause stroker motors love air.

i would go over 10.5 to 1 for 93 pump gas uless you got some really big cams to bleed off some of the compression. imo. let us know what you decide to go with. heads make the motor . unless your blown. my #s are ok but i still want more err!

Rods Ultralight I-Beam 4340 Ford Stroker 4.6L 302-347 5.090" - 5.400" 5.933"

Has anyone ever used these "HAWKS RACING" rods.. they seem pretty light weight they claim up to 800hp and they sure are very cheap at only $329?? is this just a new company or is there something with the longevity of them?

For a NA build, they will be fine.

I got the motor today a friend and i tore it down to the shortblock. It is DEF a teksid! Im pumped. I have been thinking though....it has the mark 8 4 v heads.... are they as good as the cobra? Would it be just as easy to make the GT a 4V beast or just stick with the 2v? Is the cost higher building a 4v and is there wiring issues or anything like that i would need to tend to? Thanks guys
