Exactly and atleast they are somewhat funtional on the EVO and STI... I really hate seeing a big ass wing on front wheel drive rice!

i love front wheel drives with a huge wing dont you know it helps traction when you lift the drive wheels off the pavement... i always wanted to mount a huge wing on the hood of my tempo just to show them how its done

Not to be a fly in the ointment but a rear wing on a front wheel drive vehicle will help with the rear downforce if you're into road racing.

first of all, im all about road racing to, but a "euro" look, is stupid on a mustang, your driving an american muscle car, thatd be the same as euro lights, and they look hideous on stangs IMO, and so do Z3 fenders, you might like the look of them now, but a little bit down the road, when people are yelling ricer at you, and guys in other stangs and cobras are just shaking there heads in dissapoinment, you will understand im not trying to be a dick, just trying to let you know its a waste of money, and will look horrible, but ill let stop with all that, as far as fitment goes, ive known people to put them on other cars, and the fitment is usally horrible, but i think abcexclusive.com sells a nice kit for our cars thats supposed to fit pretty good, cant beleive i just gave a link to help rice out a stang, but thats my opinion, as for the 2000 cobra R, i dont like the wing on any other stangs, nor do i really like clones, it looks badass on a cobra R and thats it, and sti and evos, just look right with wings, ive seen them off of them and they look horrible, and if a FWD car has a wing in drag racing he is an idiot, and you dont really need a wing in a mildly modded FWD car when your road racing, just makes you look like in idiot, only when your car is actually serious does it really help

i am not trying to start a fight but i was looking through one of the rice mags and read an article on body kits and wings they tested a stock 350z against a stock 350z with a body kit from some big name company and the car with the areo kit had a 6 sec slower lap time i thought that was great...
i know some cars need a wing but hondas don't i don't care if you r trying to road race it... but i thought the article was interesting

6 seconds??? You mean 6 tenths. Depending on the undertray and defusor setup, rear wings can be effective at speeds as low as 50 mph in a production car. If your measuring straight away speeds then that's another story. My B Sedan car ran speeds as high as 138 mph in the dip at the end of the straight away at Road Atlanta during the Runoffs in the early 80s before the chicane was installed to slow the cars down. The following year we came with a new setup, which included a one inch track increase with flares. The cars speed on the gun in the same place, the downhill dip at the end of the straight away, fell 4 mph. The car couldn't push the additional air from the increased width of the car. We thought we would makeup the difference in cornering, but we were wrong. My point is areo packages are very important and can have major effects in lap times, just not 6 seconds worth. 6 tenths can mean the difference between the front row or mid packer.

As far as comments about the Euro look, I think you better do a little homework on where Mustangs are racing as well as what types of racing they are doing. Otherwise, your size 12 may not fit into your highest appearing open orfice.

its gonna be a fiberglass fender it will not fit right out of the box and you will take a great amount of time lining the bumper up with the fender then the fender with the hood..

that being said it may not look like it fits at first but you bend it and contour it a bit, and it will fit

best way to choose a company is to look at pictures and see how well they lined everything up.

with all that said, they will look pretty damn stupid

I really don't care what you think about my car, I think it looks nice and I've had cobra and other mustang owners give me compliments on it. So whatever. I like the way the fenders compliment the hood.

I think your car looks nice, although im not a big fan of those fenders. But that's whats great about mustangs, theres a million ways to customize them. at least it doesn't look like every other mustang out there.

Okay, back to the original intent of this thread now that everyone has expressed their opinion of the appearance...Who is the maunfacturer of your fenders and how was the install in terms of fit and finish? Any info would be of some help. Thanks

I got the fenders from mr.bodykit.com and had a shop I know personally put them on with the kit . I've seen the body guys work and knew he would do a good job. I didn't hear any complaints about the fitment when he was putting it together. But like everyone is telling you it is fiberglass, so the pro is that it will take a little weight off the front, the con you can only bend it so much but becareful not to crack it. I haven't had any problems taking them off when I needed to remove the front bumper and then putting them back on. Not that hard. You get what you pay for, the ones on mrbodykit.com are going for about $200 a pair. They have pics of vehicles with the fenders on. Hope this helps.
