my wife 99 v6 vert only get 19.5 on the highway . my 03 is right there with it , i think its because it takes so much power to keep it going down the road ? i need to replace all the brgs in the rear end it narly sounding . she got the 7.5 in it with 3.27s i got some 3.45s not much more but if the carrier is bad i can use that one out of 84 bronco II and change the gearing with my x cal . i need a trac lock for here .

you would have to buy a different Xcal to do her gearing, you wouldnt be able to use it on your car then. it would then be married to hers, and you can only switch back and forth 5 times before you have to send it to SCT and pay $150 to have it unlocked. not to mention you would have to get a V6 tune for it.

the V6 doesnt get that good of fuel mileage because it has to put more load on the motor to keep it going. more load = more fuel.

yes, its a truck, and so is my diesel F250

i can tow 20K LBS

i can put even more int he bed

mines even safer, it just rolls over cars with the bigass 37's

mine is jsut as fast as a stock 03 cobra.

but in all reality, the lightning compares more to a GT, or 99/01 cobra, they arent that fast, and will never have the speed potential the 03/04 does. you cant compare a truck to a sports car. mod for mod the lightning will always have its ass wooped badly by the cobra. a bolt on cobra with pulley/tune/exhaust/intake will take a KBed L.

its not goingto be off much i should just let it where it at , she will drive slower than , cause it will be reading fast LOL..i though you could scan codea and change gear ratios with it still been linked to my car ? im not sure how all this x cal works yet. im haven trouble just making sure i got the right tune in it , i like the sw. chip better .dam the sct chip can hold what 4 tunes plus the valet , and the no start feature right ?

you got lot of snow up there dont you ? < i love that face LOL

theres still some snow on the ground but luckly its pretty much all melted away.

you can scan codes on different ford cars, but you cant change gear ratio's, thats changing the tune.

If you have the short bed like the lightning does it holds the same in the bed. And you put alot more money into your f250 than the lightning cost. The jeep grand cherokee srt8 would beat any stock cobra on the street.

a short bed F250 still has a longer, and bigger bed than a L.

a cherokee SRT8 will not beat a stock termi on the street with a good driver. find a SRT8, and a stock cobra, and ill bet you mine that with me driving that SRT8 will go down every time. termi;s run mid 12's, SRT8's run high 12's, low 13's.

ive ran into many of them modded any not modded, and not one has come close to beating me even when i only had bolt on's, no pulley.

rated 360HP i beleave at the crank, and its slightly uner rated. mine with only a SCT canned performance tune, and turbo back exhaust made 450RWHP, and 830FTLBS to the tire. got headstuds installed bigger turbo, and custom tune and it went almost 540RWHP, and made over 1000FTLBS. my dyno spikes at 1000, so im not sure what it made.

I dunno. I like a good pickup truck, but I have just never looked at one and thought "Wow, that's really badass, and I want one now"

I'm not talking about performance numbers or anything else. I know there are some kickass trucks out there. I'm talking about the look of it. When I see a truck I think "Well...there's a.....truck. I wanna haul some shit with it."

But that's just my personal opinion, and the reason there are different vehicles is because we all like different things. Trying to prove to someone why they should like something better is like trying to prove to someone why they should like a food they don't enjoy.

It's all purely subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder. Don't bet on horses, and don't eat yellow snow.

Thus endeth today's lesson.
