Yeah, that thing has really bad aerodynamics. Drag has ALOT to do with gas mileage.

uhhhm. Why? Why get a Termi then? Better off with a regular GT and some bolt ons if you're going to give up power for mpg.

If you ever need to tow get the lightning it can tow 5000lbs and you can put alot of shit in the back of it.

I've been thinking about getting a lightning or a gt myself. I think I'm gonna go with the lightning.

my 99 cobra all stock got 28 mpg. after mods and 3.73 got 26 mph. its about 365 miles on a tank highway my 03 cant break the 280 mark with out the low light coming on that sucks. i need some 3.27s in my 03. my 03 can get 175 on half tank whan the neddle moves down really fast. you all notice that ?

i would mind owning a light! . i got an 83 ford F100 step side with a 408w in it, ill have to post some pics. it got alum rpm heads, and solid roller cam .600 lift, fmx trans with 11 converter and 8.8 out back with 3.27s trac lock has 4.30s than went 3.73s than 3.27s. i got 12 mpg on hihg way. thats the same as my old stock 351w motor , so i say i might as well build a bad ass motor could it will get the same milesage and it does. its a sleeper now with mud grips LOL

the torque wont matter, a L will get wasted by a 03 stock vs. stock mod vs. mod whatever. its a night and day comparison, its like comparing a termi to a Gt pretty much.

you would have to do full bolt on's on the lightning to even be able to keep up to a stock 03 from a stop, then on the top the termi's jsut gonna pull away. and from a roll the same will happen.

with the cobra you get more speed, better mileage, and a nice ass car.

cant really go wrong.

Here's how the lightning is better.

1. It's a truck

2. It can tow 5000lbs

3. you can put a bunch of shit in the bed of it.

4. It's safer

5. You can make it just as fast as a cobra if you wanted to.
