my buddy has a 99 gt with regular magnaflows. they are just weld ins and it is pretty loud. he is running an o/r mid pipe, and stock manifolds. on the other hand, my buddys 98 cobra wasnt that loud with the same mufflers dumped. i run magnaflow on almost everything i own, and everything i work on.

listen to weems if you want loud
h-pipe/deep.. x-pipe/loud.. prochamber/deep+loud these are the midpipes you have to choose from (o/r)off-road= no catalytic converters, illegal in most states(because its LOUD) but everyone runs them anyways.. i was the same way too, i asked 'what exhaust should i get?' n dudes were telling me 'get LTs o/r x-pipe and flowmaster catback'... i was like WTF!? lol |

Changing your mid pipe will make a BIG difference. Get rid of that restrictive 4 cat midpipe. If you dont have to worry about emissions testing, then put in an offroad(no cats) midpipe. You have your choice of an h pipe, x pipe, or Mac prochamber. Getting rid or your cats will make it alot louder. As far as catbacks, everyone has their own preference, but you already have magnaflow catback. For sound, I personally prefer a chambered muffler (flowmaster) over a straight through muffler (magnaflow). If you have the extra money and want better performance to go along with that loud exhaust, then buy a set of Long Tube headers also..... Just keep in mind that installing headers is gonna be a PIA.
