02 saleen procharged or 03 cobra


ok found a forged 02 saleen on ebay for 20000 with a procharger putting above 400 horses with like 10psi..should i stick with a o3 cobra or go with the saleen..i love both cars..only thing is i kinda like irs cuz you keep traction and doing the solid rear swap is to much crap with the abs i think..im a mechanic to so i can do alot just dont feel like throwing my money towards an 03 cobra and finding out i cant get to 600 horses with the eaton charger..whatever car i get the heads will have custom boost cams and ported and polished heads..and im finding 02 and 01 gt supercharged mustangs for 11000..thats half the price or more for the cobra and saleen..and i found a 2000 gt turbo for 10000..PLEASE HELP GUYS!!!

REALLY WANT A MYSTICHROME COBRA THOUGH..

REALLY WANT A MYSTICHROME COBRA THOUGH..
for 20k i wouldnt buy any 2ver. for that much you could get very close if not buying a termie.

10-11k though is a good buy as long as the cars are setup for boost. not just a stocker with a huffer.

buy drgns car. its about 6k away from being scary with boost.

if i had it to do over. i would look for a cheap termie or buy a mach. i missed out on a redfire 04 termie 20k miles for 22k.

Which head unit is on the Saleen? If it's an F1-A get that! Those things create MAJOR boost levels, and the engine is already forged. If it's not an F1-A then get it anyways and sell that head unit and get an F1-A.

That s/c is most likely going to be part of my next move.

5 speed 03 cobra FTMFW!!!

probably not a F1A though. plus its still a 2V, yeah it has a built bottom end, but so does the cobra, and it has 2 more valves per CYL, and 2 more cams.

JFYI The most powerful KB car to date is a 2V...

But I would go with the Cobra if I had the choice...

yeah, it is twice as expensive to do cams, but on a 03 you will be long past the 600RWHP mark before you need to even think about headers, much less cams, or headwork. motor breathe's great, it just begs for a twin screw @19 PSI, more fuel, and a good tune.

so lets say i find an 03 cobra with pulley exhaust intake and makes about 430 horses...what else do i have to do to get it to 550 horses on the stock eaton??what kinda of money to??

numbers sound possibly inflated, unless they were running race gas and crazy timing on the 18PSI tune with 740RWHP, it isnt going to happen. then the 919RWHP with 28PSI seems even more far fetched. your not going to see any more than 15RWHP per PSI even with that very efficient 2.8H.

i think there was spray involved.
