New Mustang Owner Who Needs Advice

Hello All,
Just bought a 2002 GT Convertible and am a novice. Would like to know where I can get parts like the license plate bulb housings and other not so common parts. Thanks. Also, I have about a $1000 to add more power to the Mustang, thinking about going with headers and a new exhaust. Thoughts?

get gears and a tune 1st. that gets a huuuuuuge chunk of power outta the way first...then go with the little things like Cold Air Iduction(CAI), x or h midpipes with a good cat back, some pulleys and things of that nature. the gears and the tuner will be about or under $1000 bucks. if u want a huge increase in acceleration and dont care about gas mileage go with 4.10....if u just want it to be a bit more punchy here and there and do care about mileage...go 3.73...losta guys here say 4.10 is the way to go for the strip or streat but it all depends on the application! good luck!

the 4.10 are not going to decrease your mileage but maybe 2-3 mpg. the only reason youll lose a lot of mileage is becasue you wont get tired of romping on the car. itll be a shit ton faster with the 4.10. youll regret not going with them if you go with the 3.73. start first with gears and tuner as he mentioned, and then do your cia and catback plus mid pipe and if you want you can do headers also. good lookin car and wleocme to the site

I am in the Army and stationed in Hawaii. On my way back to Iraq and bought the Mustang to give myself a hobby for when I return.
What should a tune include?
