PI Intake porting for dummies

Hey, I figured it would breathe
better with holes in it........

Check out what can happen when fuel puddles
in a plastic intake.
I thought this would never happen to me.
I have ran pounds and pounds of nitrous
through this intake on a dry shot and never
had the tiniest problem. I am a dry shot
believer for these intakes now.

This is where I'm at right now. The
new PI will be on tommorrow.

OK, here's the carnage........

Just a 150 shot. I'm just not gettin' good fuel distribution with this kit (Zex). This is not to say wet kits are bad- I just will feel more comfortable getting my fuel straight to the intake valves and not having to deal with the possible puddling.

I'm just gonna put another PI on tommorrow and throw in some 42 lb. injectors. I'll get tuned for a 175 dry this weekend.

No, not too much- just bad fuel distribution. My back plugs were starting to burn up, so I should be glad it popped when it did or I would have had some serious problems.

I'm going to get that pretty soon. I just need to get everything ironed out first.

I am at a cross road right now. The Logan looks like it will perform, but we're talking over $2400 for the whole set up. I wanted to go with he Edelbrock in the first place, but they kept puting off the release date.

i am looking into different intakes for mine too. the logan and the reichard are just too damn high for me. i dont think i want to spend that much money on my pos. i am now looking into the hardballr, trickflow, or maybe the bbk if they ever come out with it. more and more i think about it, i am leaning toward the hardballr. no matter what, they all will be able to run the nitrous easier.

ac, did you feel like paul walker in fast and furious? did some mysterious metal plate fly out from under your car?

in all seriousness that sucks. plastic manifold arent meant to stand up to any high performance application though. why not get super mad scientist on it and build your own sheet metal intake?
